Dani Krasner has been a secondary art educator with Norfolk Public Schools for a little over a decade. She is a Norfolk native and attended Old Dominion University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Art Education and then later received her Master of Arts in Humanities with a focus on contemporary women painters. She works in a variety of different mediums in her practice but is predominantly drawn to acrylic painting and screen printing. Outside of her art life she is a mom to a feisty Boston Terrier named Margaux and an ill-tempered black cat named Bagheera. She enjoys traveling the world and inherited a passion for gardening from her late father. The name of her art studio is in memory of her dog that she adopted when she was nineteen years old. Tiger Lily was a brindle Boston terrier/Pug mix and acquired many fond nicknames during her 17 years of life. Dani’s favorite for her was “pup-lemousse” which is a play on “Pamplemousse” the French word for grapefruit.
